“Manifestations of Letters” Exhibition Opens in Tripoli
Yesterday evening, Sunday, June 28, the opening ceremony of the “Manifestations of Letters” (Tajaliyat Al-Huroof) exhibition was held at the historic Al-Khuld Palace (Al-Dhahra) in the capital city of Tripoli. The exhibition is organized by the National Center for Arts and Heritage in cooperation with the General Syndicate of Libyan Calligraphers, under the sponsorship of the General Authority for Cinema, Theater, and Arts.
The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Culture for Theater and Arts Affairs and Chairman of the General Authority for Cinema, Theater, and Arts, Mr. Abdelbaset Abuganda. Also in attendance were the Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs, Mohamed Ben Ghalboun, and the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mr. Sami Al-Alem.
The event also drew several Excellencies, ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, and an elite group of artists, calligraphers, and intellectuals, featuring a special participation from the brotherly Republic of Tunisia.
The organization of this exhibition underscores the commitment of the General Authority for Cinema, Theater, and Arts to supporting the cultural and artistic movement, safeguarding Arabic calligraphy as one of the most vital expressions of cultural identity, and fostering creative exchange and cultural openness among artists and innovators.
